Cybersecurity and artificial intelligence company Rubrik has announced plans to invest more than £375 million ($500 million) in the United Kingdom over the next five years, selecting London as its headquarters for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) as it expands its regional operations.

The investment is expected to support the company’s growth across the region through the recruitment of additional staff in sales, marketing and customer support. The expansion is set to create high-skilled jobs while strengthening London’s position as one of Europe’s leading technology hubs.

The company said the UK has become one of its fastest-growing markets, with its British operations delivering a record first quarter. Recent customers in the country include Fortegra Financial Corporation, Harbour Energy, Manchester City Council and the Scottish Government.

Rubrik Chief Executive Officer, Chairman and Co-founder Bipul Sinha said the investment reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the UK market.

“The UK is one of the world’s leading technology markets and has become increasingly important to Rubrik’s long-term growth,” Sinha said. “As organisations accelerate AI adoption, cyber resilience has become an essential business priority. This investment strengthens our UK ecosystem and supports customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa as they enhance data protection, recover from cyberattacks and adopt AI technologies securely.”

The announcement comes as cyber threats continue to grow across both the public and private sectors. Government figures show that 43% of UK businesses identified a cyber breach or attack during the past year, highlighting the increasing importance of digital security for organisations of all sizes.

Industry experts note that while advanced cybersecurity platforms are primarily used by large enterprises, their adoption is likely to influence smaller suppliers. Businesses working with government bodies, financial institutions and major corporations are expected to face stricter cybersecurity requirements as new regulations, including the forthcoming Cyber Security and Resilience Bill, move closer to implementation.

AI and Online Safety Minister Kanishka Narayan welcomed the investment, describing it as another sign of confidence in Britain’s technology sector.

“Rubrik’s decision to make London its European headquarters is a vote of confidence in Britain’s talent and its position as a destination for investment, innovation and growth,” Narayan said. “The expansion will create high-skilled jobs and strengthen the UK’s leadership in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.”

Rubrik currently serves around 2,000 customers across the EMEA region, with nearly half using three or more of its products. The company’s new London office will feature collaborative workspaces, customer engagement facilities and an Executive Briefing Centre designed to support clients and business partners.

The investment follows Rubrik’s recent launch of Rubrik Security Cloud on Amazon Web Services’ European Sovereign Cloud. The service is aimed at public sector organisations and highly regulated industries seeking cloud-based cybersecurity solutions while meeting European data sovereignty requirements.

The latest expansion reflects continued investment in Britain’s growing AI and cybersecurity sectors as technology companies increase their presence in the region to meet rising demand for secure digital infrastructure.
