Oasis have confirmed a 38-date global tour for 2027, including a return to Knebworth in Hertfordshire, as the band prepares to continue its reunion following the success of its 2025 comeback shows.
The announcement was made at 4pm on Monday, the same time and date that had been displayed in a drone show over Manchester the previous week. The illuminated display featured the Oasis logo alongside the date 14 September 2026 and the time 4pm BST.
“START THE CELEBRATIONS!!!!” the band said in a statement confirming that it would return to the road.
The statement described Oasis as “the most damaging pop cultural force in recent British history” and said the band had declared itself “fit for purpose” and would once again return to perform for fans.
Oasis had been teasing possible venues on social media in recent weeks, with references to locations including Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, Celtic Park in Glasgow and Knebworth.
The announcement follows months of speculation about whether Noel and Liam Gallagher would continue performing together after their highly successful 2025 reunion tour. The brothers had not performed together for 16 years before the comeback shows.
The Oasis Live ’25 tour ran for 41 dates worldwide, with tickets selling out within minutes of going on sale. Forbes estimated that the tour generated more than $400 million (£293 million) in revenue, while Noel and Liam were each estimated to have earned between $50 million and $100 million.
The reunion also generated substantial spending beyond ticket sales. Six official merchandise stores opened in Manchester, Cardiff, London, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Dublin ahead of the concerts.
Research by Novuna Personal Finance published before the 2025 UK shows estimated that fans could spend about £940 million across 17 UK dates. The research forecast average spending of £682.80 for each of the expected 1.4 million attendees and estimated the net economic impact at £274.4 million.
The wider UK music industry also benefited from the return of major touring acts. UK Music reported that music tourism spending reached a record £11.2 billion in 2025, an 11.3% increase from £10 billion in 2024. The sector attracted 24.7 million music tourists and supported 74,000 full-time equivalent jobs.
Spending in the North West increased 15.6% to £1.4 billion, while London recorded a 27.4% increase to £3.4 billion across seven Wembley dates.
UK Music chief executive Tom Kiehl said the spending provided a major boost to towns and cities, benefiting hotels, restaurants, bars, transport companies and other businesses.
The 2027 tour announcement comes a week after Noel and Liam attended the UK premiere of “Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger”, a documentary directed by Steven Knight with Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace. The film features behind-the-scenes material and concert footage from the band’s 2025 reunion.
